Lee Smith's Bench, September 4, 2012
Here is the little bench that Lee Smith made for me a couple of years ago, at my request after I had admired a bench - also one he had built - in his Maine kitchen. This bench has become my favorite music session bench. Lee has since given me the original bench, the one from his kitchen. Lovely.
Dimensions:
Top: 10"x24"
Height: 17 1/2"
Base: 9 1/4" at the bottom, 8" at the top.
The overhang on each side is 3 1/4"
The bench was delivered to me on the island, by Lee, in pieces, and was easily assembled using a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. Someday I will actually finish it. I will probably paint it a charcoal gray so I can use it in photography sessions with my black back-drop.
