I have led and participated in many styles of religious services and life-cycle events in the past fifteen years, from traditional to modern, without and with guitar; in synagogue, church, and interfaith settings; in English and Hebrew and with all ages - from babies to senior citizens and inter-generationally.

I have also taught music to children in a variety of settings over the past thirty years and presently run music programs for young children out of my home studio.

I am thrilled to have recently returned full-circle to the music ministry team within Good Shepherd Parish Martha's Vineyard,where I am also in the process of designing and launching a pre-school music program: Make a Joyful Noise.

People often comment on my joy and spirit.

I believe that music is the key to worship, learning, joy, healing, and community.

The Town Clock Song - One of the many songs I've written in the past year for my young grandchildren (a lot of it on the fly, as requested - "Grandma, sing about fire trucks..."), this one written in particular for the middle guy, headed off to dreamland, here - now 2 1/2 - since he happens to love the Edgartown town clock tower and the bell, having seen it from my window and heard the bell every hour two days a week since he was born.

1. Dancing in the Light of Your Smile

This song came into being because I needed a song about Sarah (the other Sarah) to sing with children. This is a song about longings fulfilled, about birth and re-birth; a song of joy; the idea that Sarah’s laughter reverberates through the generations, that we continue the fulfillment—realized in the birth of Isaac—of Sarah’s longings, the “stars in her eyes” also being an allusion to Abraham’s conversation with God in which God promises that Abraham and Sarah’s descendants “will out-number the stars in the sky.”
