Children's Music Programs
Read MoreWelcome.
During the 1980s and 1990s, the name Sara Piazza was synonymous with children's music on Martha's Vineyard.
After being away for the past decade, I am back on the scene, ready to sing with the newest generation - children of my '80s and '90s children, as well as my own grandchildren.

I am very happy to be home again, singing with the children of the Vineyard. I'm passionate in my love for music and believe fervently that music is the key to joy, learning, and community. My childrens' music parties are based on the model with which I and many in my generation grew up and still exists today within some cultural and religious pockets: music in the home, around the table with family and friends - the family sing-a-long.

These gatherings are not music lessons, or classes, per se - but there are lessons in the music, lessons that enhance language, concentration, coordination, listening, and communication skills while developing musicality. My song-list is a vast collection that represents a life-time of learning and collecting and includes:
classic childrens' folk songs
nursery rhymes
popular songs
show tunes
counting songs
finger plays
circle-games
hello songs
goodbye songs
nonsense songs
songs about bugs
birds, fish, whales
and things that go
cars, buses, and trains
songs of the seasons and the natural world
lullabies
songs my mother taught me
songs I have composed
songs that feed the soul
songs in French, Spanish, and Hebrew
We will sing the songs of Woody Guthrie, Tom Chapin, Pete Seeger, Lennon and McCartney, Simon and Garfunkle, and Raffi, to name just a few.Childrens' music schedule as of January 2015:
