Sara Piazza > Returning to Pelham Hall, near the little circle of benches where Harry Flamenbaum was fond of sitting. His bench is there on the left.

I love coming around the corner from Harvard Street and catching a glimpse of Boston's skyscrapers in the distance as I head home - very exciting. I can even see a sliver of downtown from my bow window.

Sara Piazza > Weary commuters, gloomy day.
Sara Piazza > Rush hour, outgoing train disembarking.
Sara Piazza > Rush hour foot traffic.
Sara Piazza > The Coolidge Theater - like the Booksmith, this theater is one of the last remaining independent theaters in the country. Being right around the corner from my apartment, you'd think I'd go to a movie once in a while, but I rarely do.
Sara Piazza > The Edward Devotion School, one of Brookline's eight (including Pierce, Lawrence, Baker, Runkle, Heath, Driscoll, and Lincoln) neighborhood grammar schools.
Sara Piazza > Irving's Toy and Card Shop, run by Ethel Weiss, barely a block away from Devotion School - filled with toys and penny candy, this tiny hide-away is a favorite after-school stop and every child's dream (and every parent's nightmare?). It's been here forever.
