M/V Islander : The Islander was built the same year I was - we're twins separated at birth. I've ridden her all my life - how we loved it, as kids, on those rough crossings, running back and forth across the lunch room as she pitched and rolled -and she's like an old friend, sturdy and dependable. I'll miss her when she's put out of service, probably in January, 2007. I'm in the process of documenting her - and her crew and passengers - before she's gone for good.
